Meadow Bridge P.S enjoyed welcoming Mayor Scott Carson on Friday 21 October to our school’s Assembly.
Mr. McCollum had invited the Mayor of Lisburn & Castlereagh to present the badges to the successful candidates of the recent School Council election.
These pupils were elected from P4 - P7 classes and all ran successful campaigns where they had to draw up their own manifestos and present these to their classes. Mayor Carson reminded them of their duty to represent their classmates and to work together successfully to achieve positive results for the Meadow Bridge school community, even when they may disagree on things.
Once Assembly had finished, the School Council had some photos taken and they were able to get a closer look at his Mayoral Chain. Take a look at the photos below to see this memorable day for our pupils!
