P4/5 were asked to build their own castles working in groups. They had a limited amount of materials to use. They had been given 20 A5 index cards, tape and one pair of scissors per group. The castles needed to include a Keep, an entrance to the castle, a living quarter along with an appropriate wall to protect their castle. This was an exciting lesson incorporating problem solving, literacy, numeracy and even a little bit of arts.
