Oh the excitement we had in our classroom this week as we explored what makes ice melt as part of our Winter topic. We enjoyed reading the story ‘The Runaway Iceberg’ and were set the challenge of rescuing some cute arctic animals from frozen icebergs. We first made predictions and thought about things which we could do to make our investigation a fair test - we had such great ideas for this. We were so eager to find out what the best substance or method would be to melt the ice. We certainly know now why gritters spread salt on our roads!
