Our World Around Us topic in P1/2 is ‘Out and About in Northern Ireland’. The children took part in and enjoyed a planning carousel as we looked at different books, explored brochures and maps and discussed different pictures the children brought into school and had drawn of their favourite places to go. They worked together as a team, shared their ideas and noted all of these ideas of what they would like to learn about on a planning page. Each group then presented their ideas to the class. Such wonderful ideas they had… we have a lot to learn about in the coming weeks!
